“I have looked into eyes and compared them for 40 years. I have never seen two that were the same!”, writes mr. A. van der Braak, certified ophthalmologist. Our eyes are connected through the brain and the nervous system to the different parts of our body. Information gets captured by our eyes and ‘translated’ to our body. But like mr. van der Braak points out, “sometimes our eyes lie”. So it comes to no surprise that sometimes we develop aches and pains in our body that are related to our vision . Think of neck pain, dizziness or headaches. Jeroen Postma, whom studied chiropractic functional neurology, is always looking into the complexity of a problem. His experience has taught him that body aches are usually far more complex that we think. He has been studying ‘vision’ in search for answers. Shouldn’t we be ruling out that it is not the vision, which is preventing patient and chiropractor from reaching the best result? What if the information collected by a patient’s eyes is ‘incorrect’, what can a patient do to improve this? These are questions Jeroen Postma will answer during our March 13, 2019 thematic hour. Does it sound interesting? Would you like to join us? Maybe even bring your mother along? No problem. Just reserve your spot!
