Meet our team

Chiropractors

Jeroen Postma

Jeroen Postma was born in England to Dutch parents and grew up in America. He studied chiropractic at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis (Minnesota).

In 1988, he came to the Netherlands and worked in a group practice in Heemstede. In September 1990, he opened his own practice in Leiden: Chiropractic Leiden.

Jeroen holds a post-academic degree in chiropractic functional neurology (DACNB). This allows him to more effectively treat patients with certain neurological conditions within his field.

He is also a lecturer and co-founder of Brain & Neuroplasticity, a platform that provides continuing education in functional neurology for fellow chiropractors.

Kim Schoenmakers

Kim Schoenmakers moved from England to the Netherlands to build a future here with her Dutch partner (also a chiropractor). She is originally from Germany but speaks excellent Dutch.

Like her colleagues, Kim is trained to treat all ages and symptoms. Her particular interest lies in (pregnant) women and children. In the coming years, she aims to further specialize in this group as well as in functional neurology, which was one of the reasons she chose Chiropractic Leiden.

Kim obtained her Master’s degree in chiropractic at AECC University College in Bournemouth (England). In her free time, she enjoys staying active through functional training.

Jonathan (Jon) Narlock

Jon Narlock graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis (US) in 2017. Several years ago, he came into contact with Jeroen Postma during a neurology course by Brain & Neuroplasticity (the platform that Jeroen runs together with fellow chiropractor Tom Claykens).

Jon is a true “people person” and believes it is important not only to treat, but also to listen well. His interest in chiropractic began after a skiing accident and a car accident in the same month, in which he sustained a whiplash injury. The quick relief he experienced at the time inspired him to become a chiropractor himself.

In his work, he finds great satisfaction in the small, concrete victories that make a big difference for patients, such as being able to drive again or putting on socks without difficulty.

Mika Munksgaard

Mika Munksgaard graduated from the Health Sciences University in Bournemouth (England), a renowned program in the chiropractic world. He grew up in a family where chiropractic plays a major role: his Danish father is a chiropractor in the Netherlands. This background is reflected in his people-centered approach and his down-to-earth, engaged style.

Mika approaches every patient with care, precision, and attention to the individual, both physically and emotionally. He sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Somatic therapy

Natalie Heller

Sometimes it is not enough to only look at joints. Muscles, tendons, connective tissue, tension, and posture often play a major role in how symptoms develop and keep returning. That is why at Chiropractic Leiden, we searched for a long time for someone who could complement our approach with the right massage and exercise therapy, with the person at the center.

Natalie Heller helps you relax muscles and improve your posture and core. Sessions last 50 minutes and focus on recovery of muscles and tendons (connective tissue massage).

Natalie works with myofascial techniques: a broad set of testing and treatment methods that identify weak links in the muscular and nervous system. This approach can be used for prevention, treatment, and performance improvement. You can ideally combine this with your chiropractic appointment, but you can also schedule it separately through the front desk.

Nutrition

Sofyan El Bouhdifi

Sofyan El Bouhdifi graduated as an orthomolecular therapist in 2025. Before that, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Antwerp and additional training as a nutritionist, with a specialization in gut health.

From this background, Sofyan focuses on supporting recovery from within.

Sofyan: “In my work, I regularly see that recovery stagnates or symptoms return, despite good treatment. Internal factors often play a role, such as nutritional deficiencies, disruptions in energy metabolism, or low-grade inflammation.”

By making these factors visible and providing targeted support, the body can respond better to treatment and training. The goal is to strengthen the body’s recovery capacity and guide clients toward sustainable resilience and vitality.
